1. Neveer forget who you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like an armor, and it can never be used against you.
2. The more you know who you are and what you want, the less you let things upset you.
3. And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you. Because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.

The Soma Of History
Today, I found a soma in my skirt pocket, dead flowers scattered in my
barnet and six wild horses somewhere underneath my heart.
I was in candlelit lavender bath and his limbs were entangled with
mine: how many hand-holds will it take for you to love the way I do
anything?
And then I was home, and he told me that I am skin and bone, that I am
bruised and scarred, that I am too quiet, too clumsy, too odd, and I
couldn't tell if those words made me feel sad or just a little smaller
inside myself.
Sometimes, I am reticent and self-hamstrung.
I am a lake lacking ocean limbs; I have rabbit lungs and morphine as
my evening tea.
But you don't know;
You never knew;
That I take six pills every morning in an attempt to invoke my
existence, and to remind myself that ache is only bone-deep.
I once knew a girl who had deer-does in her eyes before she didn't,
and the boy who hates my sleep-pale bones had seen my face in the
dark.
All I am now is a complexity of moon dust: indiscernible and
unwitnessed. I wish he had seen the soul that I've been inhabiting for
twenty summers, that he would've touched my loveless limbs the way he
fondled upon his mother's fingertips when he was 5.

God's Wings ....
After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree.
Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abondon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast...because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.
"He will cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you will find refuge" - Psalm 91:4

Mystery
You live in a church
Where you sleep with voodoo dolls
And you won't give up the search
For the ghosts in the halls.
You wear sandals in the snow
And a smile that won't wash away.
Can you look out the window
Without your shadow getting in the way?
You woke up screaming aloud
A prayer from your secret god
You feed off our fears
And hold back your tears.
You are building a mystery!!
Where you sleep with voodoo dolls
And you won't give up the search
For the ghosts in the halls.
You wear sandals in the snow
And a smile that won't wash away.

Without your shadow getting in the way?

You are building a mystery!!
Thinking Outside The Box
The term thinking outside the box is a catchy American phrase. It has
become the posterchild for a concept, that suggests that there are
those amongst us who are not bound by traditional thinkings, ideas and
concepts. But they are in fact innovative enough to employ new methods
to accomplish old tasks.
These types of people reached an elite status of interest. They are
very desirable, particularly in the corporate levels, because they are
trendsetters, and not mere followers, of the traditions of those that
proceeded them.
It's not easy to think outside the box. You get a lot of people
talking crud about you, when you don't fit in. When you don't do
things the way everybody else does them, you are very controversial.
But if you are going to be a leader, you need to go somewhere, where
no one else has gone, and do something that no one has done, and set
your face as flint, and know that criticism is not necessarily a
crisis. It can often be a gateway that opens up a new way of thinking.
What you resist persists, and what you allow to be, disappears.
Thinking outside the box without understanding the box is a pelutant
exercise in resistance.
The exhortation to think outside the box has become ubiquitous in
business. So much that it has become the new box inside of which
everyone thinks.
It pays lip service to the notion of transformation without really
understanding the difference between transformation and change, and
often without tolerance for the real thinking that must occur for an
idea to be truly outside the existing paradigm.
But worse than that, the advice is backwards. You cannot possibly
think outside the box unless you understand the nature of the box that
bounds your current thinking.
You must come to know that nature deeply. You must have real insight
into it. You must accept it, embrace it at some level, before it will
ever release you.
